My research has as main object of interest the Derridian deconstruction, with a focus on Seminars carried out in the last decade of his life by Jacques Derrida (from 1991 to 2003). They are part of a cycle of lessons by the title of “Questions de responsabilité”, maybe to emphasize thereby that what remains of a deconstruction eaten in the spectrum of the subject, secret, hospitality, forgiveness, right, sovereignty, democracy – all the topics discussed in this cycle of seminars – are precisely the ashes of a certain responsibility, whose theoretical aspects seem to have taken shape mainly thanks to the rising debate between Derridian deconstruction and the thought of Emmanuel Lévinas from Sixties to Nineties of the twentieth century. Also through the study of other important “proper names” of the philosophy with which Derrida was compared in order to consolidate the fundamental operational points of his thought, the research aims to investigate how much and in what way the preferred place of the responsibility of the deconstruction is “the literature” (rigorously between quotation marks) or, still better, the derridian notion of “general text”. In fact, when there is text (and when there is none?), you are already always in response to it, because through textuality you are always the addressee of a certain question, of a call by an otherness, of a legacy that it shapes by delay and distance, leaving time and space for the fragmented, the break that puts plain the impossibility of the immediate.
