La finalità generale della ricerca è indagare le cause della «fragilità» del sistema educativo di istruzione e formazione in Italia a partire dal contesto europeo in cui tale istituzione si trova ad operare. Saranno oggetto di analisi le politiche nel settore dell’istruzione e della formazione dell’Unione europea e come queste stiano influenzando la normativa scolastica italiana, facendo emergere come le trasformazioni in atto stiano causando un profondo mutamento sia delle finalità sia del paradigma pedagogico che caratterizzavano il sistema educativo in Italia. Si vuole inoltre riflettere sulle ricadute concrete dei mutamenti intervenuti, trattando in modo specifico il «caso» della Filosofia perché, tra le discipline presenti nel curriculum scolastico della scuola secondaria di secondo grado in Italia, è proprio la Filosofia ad avere avviato un profondo dibattito sul proprio ruolo, proponendosi come chiave di lettura sia delle altre discipline sia della complessità stessa.

The general aim of the research is to investigate the causes of the “fragility” of the education and training system in Italy starting from the European context in which this institution operates. The policies in the field of education and training of the European Union and how these are influencing Italian school legislation will be analysed, highlighting how the transformations taking place are causing a profound change in both the aims and the pedagogical paradigm that characterized the educational system in Italy. The research also wants to reflect on the concrete repercussions of the changes that have taken place, dealing specifically with the “case” of Philosophy because, among the disciplines present in the school curriculum of secondary school in Italy, it is precisely Philosophy that has started a profound debate on its role, proposing itself as a key to understanding both the other disciplines and the complexity itself.
